This project is approved by the Ministry of Science and Innovation within the INNPACTO Program. Given the economic and social need to support and enhance the independence of the user, Vitality intends to carry out a project to work on aid the user in their daily activities.
Ibernex participates in this project together with other partners reference and Phillips Research, Tecnalia Foundation , University of Granada … among others.
Given the economic and social need to support and enhance the independence of the user, Vitality intends to carry out a project to work on aid the user in their daily activities.
The overall objective of VITALITY project is double:
- First, develop a broker between the large amount and type of data from sensors that monitor and report the person and the context in which it is located (body and environment) and the plurality of applications (mainly oriented to health and welfare) that the user can be used as support, help or assistance in their daily lives, considering that these applications require information from data that provide those sensors.
- Secondly, to develop a set of healthcare applications for the person, mobility accessible, and make use of this broker to request environmental information they need to process to provide the services they contain.
The VITALITY project stems from a broader European initiative led by Philips Research has achieved in 2010 the ITEA seal, which specifically credited as an initiative with particular impact on all the above points. The Spanish consortium of this European initiative has a great weight in this experimental project development approach results marked ready-to-market, participating in all activities (work packages and tasks) and even leading some of the packages and tasks of interest.
The VITALITY project provides a complete integrated healthcare services with fast response time (real time) solution. VITALITY provides high quality consolidated from all data provided by different applications information. Besides focusing on interoperability and standardization.
The key point is to provide a Vitality geriatric care solution efficient and manageable way expandable, and therefore flexible. This solution is suitable for both large-scale deployment and long-term monitoring user with developments and changes monitoring requirements (depending on the scope and changing conditions regarding the situation of users or condition
